details, details... I love the details!

While I am waiting on some of the neat details for my new website to be done I thought that I would share with you some of my favorite details from past weddings. The bride and groom invest a lot of time putting together the perfect look to their wedding... ok mainly the bride ; ) ... so I love to capture as many of those details as possible because after that honeymoon car drives away those precious efforts become a vague memory of the perfect day.

I have been on cloud nine after attending the Denis Reggie workshop in early September. Oh my goodness! What an EXPERIENCE! My brain was full from all of the info that Joe and Denis offered to our group! I was inspired by both of them and how passionate they are about what they love. Joe's talk on the last day of the workshop brought everything home...  our work represents a big part of who we are.
I am always saying that what I love about what I do, are the PEOPLE. It's not always about the light or the backgrounds or the technical camera stuff that is always challenging me, I see something beautiful in people that goes beyond the surface and into the heart. My goal is to always let my eyes be an extension of God's heart. He is the ultimate people lover! And my hope is that the images I am able to produce will somehow show a person how unique, special and AMAZING they REALLY are!

After a few years of doing weddings and portrait photography on the side, I have challenged myself with some of the industry's very best wedding photographers, frequently surfing the web and admiring their photos over and over again. Now, in September, I will get to meet and learn from 2 of them-- for 3 days! Joe Buissink and Denis Reggie have been named masters of wedding photography, and are considered to be in the world's top 5 wedding photographers, and have photographed celebrities like Mariah Carey, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Lopez, Barry Bonds,  Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ted Kennedy and many more!!


I will be among 12 that attend their private workshop, and will get personal time with both of them, to be able to soak in as much as I can about their techniques and businesses! I am so thrilled and nervous all at the same time, but, in the end, I just can't wait to see what this does for the pictures I take for you!!

Every day is an adventure, and I am dreaming big!!
